Summertime rolls

Have I really not posted ALL summer?

What have we been doing all summer?

.

Let's think here----hmmm....oh, wow, lots of stuff really:

1.) a trip to San Francisco for Mommy
.
2.) a delightful visit to the pool, boy I love summer!
.
3.) Daddy's birthday
.
4.) frolicking in the neighborhood pool
.
5.) A dentist appointment for all three kids, that takes half a day and then some...
.
6.) swimming at the pool, (never been fond of pool bathrooms)
.
7.) consecutive appointments for Lola- puppy vaccinations
.
8.) splashing at the pool
.
9.) a wedding reception
.
10.) splashing Mommy in the FACE at the POOL
.
11.) the summer bbq that our little Schneider gang now participates in annually
.
12.) lugging rafts, towels, and cooler to the POOL only to have to carry it all out again WET!
.
13.) a high school graduation
.
14.) the darn POOL AGAIN!
.
15.) a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks- (woo hoo more water)
.
16.)how many times do I have to yell, "WALK PLEASE!" when we go to the pool?
.
17.) hanging at the skate park
.
18.)you all better help me lug all this pool stuff back to the car or I'm gonna....
.
19.) summer classes, Monkey Bizness, pool, slip and slide with neighbor kids, pool, ice cream truck treats, pool, 4th of July party, cousens visit,pool, lemonade stands, picnic lunch at the dog park, play dates

20.) AND, have I mentioned the POOL? the gosh darn flippity flippin pool???

Are you worn out?

I am.

Today we had pre registration for the twins to start third grade. There is a light...

.
However, I DO enjoy having their company during the day.

.
I DO enjoy laying in bed till about 8:00-8:30, 9 if I want...

.
instead of having to wake to an alarm begging me to jump up at 7am to wake the kids, pack lunches, make breakfast, sign the forgotten permission slip, frantically search for a missing shoe as the bus is pulling up, and then kiss them all out the door.

.

And then there will be silence.

.

Quiet.

.

I have forgotten what that is like.

.

Bet it is nice.

.

Believe it or not?...

.

Bet I'll miss the pool.
